Ah, Wayward Sisters didn't get picked up. I'm kind of ambivalent about it. On the one hand, it would have been awesome to have a show with female leads set in the SPN universe. On the other, how much actual 'representation' do we get in a show about women that is conceptualised by white men? (I'm thinking about Rainbow Rowell saying that the female characters she's disliked have all been written by men.) And yet, having a show about women, even if its origins are dubious, is better than not having it at all? Argh. Maybe it'll get picked up by some other network, like Brooklyn Nine-Nine?
