I hear you. :-D I've been reading a lot of stuff lately that's outside my usual comfort zones, but I usually set my boundaries on the basis of interests rather than squicks, really. There's an occasional pairing or situation that I might avoid because I'm just not into it, but I'm trying to mix things up a bit because reading/writing the same sort of stuff gets boring, as you said.
